ITD Email: KN23349 Additional Information

by 2 min read

Summary

ITD District 1 tells the No Huetter Bypass Group that the promised data went to the Community Working Group, offers to meet after the public meeting, and says FHWA approved Part 1 of Concurrence Point #3 with no comments.

Why it matters: ITD said FHWA approved its alternatives screening method with no comments, which it offered as proof the study follows federal rules.

Brian, Brett, and Ron,

I just sent out the email to the Community Working Group that has the information that I said I would share in Friday, August 29th’s email. We just decided to have the information available to everyone at the meeting if they’d like it. Hopefully it answers a lot of your questions.

We can meet with you after the public meeting and provide you with detailed responses to your letters, additional data, and answer any questions you may have. This week and next week we are working on getting information ready for the meeting: boards, magazines, etc.

In your letter, we noticed that you mention quite a bit about “the lack of the PEL following Federal standards and regulations”. We wanted to assure you that we meet on a regular basis with Sajonara Tipuric from FHWA and she has approved Part 1 of Concurrence Point #3 with no comments – that is currently our draft memo that was sent out. Part 2 of Concurrence Point #3 will detail a “results memo” which will be submitted to FHWA for approval after we’re done with Level 3 screening.

What is your availability the week of September 29th or the week of October 6th? Let me know what works best for you. Thanks!
