Privacy & Cookies

We value your privacy and do not store personal data. This page explains what information is collected when you visit, the cookies we use, who else receives information, and how you can control it.

In short

  • We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your choices, count visits and find page errors. We do not ask for your name, we show no ads and we do not sell your data.
  • Optional cookies are off until you allow them. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
  • Questions: write to Informed Kootenai at admin@nohuetterbypass.com.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address or payment details, and the site has no accounts or forms that ask for them. When you visit, our analytics and error-reporting services receive technical information, such as the pages you view, your browser and device type, and page errors.

How we use cookies

  • Strictly necessary: these remember your cookie choice. They cannot be turned off.
  • Analytics: these help us understand which pages people read and find page errors so we can fix them. Analytics cookies are set only if you allow them. Some measurement runs on every page without cookies.
  • Content from other sites: the embedded video and the original exhibit pages load from other hosts.

The cookies and services we use

Every cookie, browser storage item and outside service the site uses is in this table.

Third-party services

We use services from other companies. Their privacy policies may differ from ours, and their own pages explain how they handle data:

How long information is kept

We do not keep personal information. Information that third-party services receive is kept under their own retention settings, described on their pages above.

No optional cookie is set until you choose. We remember your choice in your browser for 12 months, then ask again. The choice never leaves your browser.

  • Your browser’s privacy signals: if your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we treat it as Reject optional. The notice still appears, with optional cookies off, and you can turn them on yourself.
  • Browser settings: you can also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser’s settings. The site keeps working.
  • Without JavaScript: no analytics run and no optional cookie is set.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data an organization holds about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell your data.
